The modern commercial vehicle is an advanced piece of equipment and embraces the technological innovations brought about from the computer. All vehicles have Electronic Control Units (ECU’s) encompassing many of the vehicles constituent parts, for example the transmission and antilock braking. These parts communicate effectively through the vehicles Controller Area Network bus (CAN-bus), which for all intent and purpose is the vehicle’s “brain”. e@syTEL gathers the raw data produced by the Can-bus and presents its findings in a user friendly, easily measurable format.
